Setup

  1. 1Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Google Workspace
  2. 2Click 'Connect with Google' and authenticate with your Workspace account
  3. 3Select which scopes to enable: Gmail sync, Calendar, Drive, Contacts
  4. 4Configure email sync rules (which domains auto-log, which to ignore)
  5. 5Set calendar primary (for booking availability) and office hours
  6. 6Test email sync with a known contact

Questions about Google Workspace

Does it sync historical emails or only new ones?
By default, new emails sync going forward. Historical backfill (up to 2 years) is available on Business tier; configurable at initial setup.
Can it sync per-user or must it be org-wide?
Both. Per-user Gmail sync (each rep connects their own Gmail) or org-wide (admin grants access to all users' mailboxes with appropriate audit).
What about Google Workspace Education tier?
Education tier is supported. Workspace for Education Fundamentals has some API rate limits compared to Business tiers.
Does it work with consumer Gmail (@gmail.com)?
Yes for individual users. Organizational features (Workspace-wide policies, admin delegation) require a paid Workspace tenant.
How does it handle email privacy for sales reps?
Rep-specific visibility rules: reps see their own emails with contacts; managers see rep activity in audit mode; personal emails (non-CRM contacts) are filtered out based on domain rules.
